This has probably, nay, this has DEFINITELY been the longest I've ever spent on a piece in my entire drawing experience. It isn't perfect, and I swear to god, if I have to shade and highlight hundreds of tiny little rivets ever again, it'll be too friggin' soon, but it's about as finished as I'm capable of making it at this point and time. I had tried him without the little edge highlight around him, but he didn't quite contrast enough, so... yeah.
This drawing was mostly about trying to get the hang of painter, which I've still got a ways to go, but I'm learnin'  Well, that and I fucking love Contra :/ Anyway, it's late, I'm tired, I'm going to fucking bed. Save up energy for my next big project. (PROBABLY BIOSHOCK :/) Enjoy! All the work you did on the little details really paid off, if you ask me. Especially on all those darned rivets. I'm liking the use of color, and for some reason the trail of smoke really stands out when I look at it.
Overall this is just an awesome piece of work, and kudos for doing art for Contra, since not a lot of people do. ^_^
